Cheddar Fondue



3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. beer or ale
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. paprika
dash cayenne pepper
3 c. shredded mild or medium cheddar cheese
In a sauce pan melt butter and blend in flour. Gradually stir in beer and milk stirring constantly until thickened. Over medium heat. Add worsetershire sauce and spices. Remove from heat stir in 1/2 c. of cheese at a time into mixture, stirring constantly. Return to low heat until all cheese is melted. Serve in fondue pot. make 3 cups. This is so good I usually have to double the recipe.
Serve with bread and apples

Man, does that sound good...especially for a cold, dreary night! Trust me, Carrie, you CAN make that sourdough bread I posted about earlier. It really is easy, just follow the recipe and you can't go wrong!

I've never had fondue before, but you make it look delicious! I would imagine it would be tasty with sweet hawaaian bread too.
